I remember my first time to Madison. Our grade school class took a bus to the State Capitol. I remember seeing it in the windshield of the bus as we turned onto E. Washington ave. Its hard to believe that when Wisconsin was a territory, that it was a mosquito infested swamp. Maybe the bats have that memory in there culture now, and thats why there are so many bats in Madison.
