About Your Bats

We get the calls all year long. Bats in my attic, walls, or in my House. Naturally, you want to get bats out, or you wouldn’t have found this bat removal site. And you have come to the right place. Bat removal is the most meticulous job I know of, other than brain surgery. We can not remove bats if there are young inside the walls or attic until they can fly. Otherwise we have left starving baby bats inside to die and smell terrable. Sometimes it is better to do nothing, than to do the wrong thing.

And talk to a bat removal professional today! I am going to write a few scenarios which are common in my line of work, and what we can do about them for you, or what you can do for yourself. I hope you enjoy reading this artical as much as I had writing it. Bats are my favorite animal to get out of homes without a dought.

Bats can make a big mess in your attic. They poop and pee all over the insulation. I know you may be thinking… how much poop and pee could a bat make? Not realy much, but bats are a colony animal, and the colony could nomber in the thousands! Thats alot of bat poop! Guano is the term to use for poop bats make.

Bat colonies are made up members of the same sex. The males live in batchelor colonies, and the females live in maternal colonies. Male bats breed with the females in the fall of the year, the sperm is stored all winter and the female gives birth in the spring.

A bat inside the walls of your home can make differant noises. Slow scratching noises, squeeking, slight thumping noises, fluttering sounds. These sounds are observed at dusk and pre dawn. Usually waking us up and making us wonder when we are going to get a pest control company to come and look at the problem.

Now that the Federal Government has all but outlawed bat traps, we dont have to worry about the bug sprayer guys botching up work by killing bats with glue boards. It is not effective, and a bat professional will not use them.

If you get a bat inside your living space, you can get bats out by opening a window. Then get the bat moving with a gentle nudge from a broom. The bats will smell the fresh air and feel the drafe. Bats naturaly head in to the drafts, and should leave the home quickly. The bat didnt get in the room on purpose, and was probobly a young bat… give him a hand and he will leave you alone.

Bat quano clean up is about the dirtiest job I’ve ever done. First I need to remove all of the insulation in the attic space. Then I need to be sure the attic is dust free. After that I can spray for Fungus, and spores. Then I can de oderize. After the attic has dried, I can replace the insulation, and the attic is restored to its origional state. This is an expensive procedure, but most times, insurance companies pay for most of it.
